Office of Violence Against Women Transitional Housing Assistance Program

This grant support programs that provide assistance to individuals who are homeless or in need of transitional housing or other housing assistance as a result of fleeing a situation of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking; and for whom emergency shelter services or other crisis intervention services are unavailable or insufficient.

Why did San Francisco apply for this grant?
This grant will help stabilize victims of domestic violence through housing, support services, financial skills training, and employment skills development, transition survivors of violence and their families into permanent housing and economic self-sufficiency, and promote economic growth in San Francisco through the entrepreneurship of women survivors of violence.
