This grant is intended to help recipients develop sustainable solar infrastructure and encourage residents and businesses to adopt solar energy. This grant is administered by the US Department of Energy.

How is San Francisco using this grant?
This grant will allow San Francisco to develop a program to group commercial and residential customers into one or more large, aggregated purchasing pools to be marketed to two different types of prospective solar installers. It will help identify sites for large installations and market to those building owners and assist in the development of a plan to address problems installing solar on multi-tenant buildings.
